Gondwana Park Zoo offers its visitors the unique experience of getting up close and personal with some of its amazing animals. Pat a koala, feed a giraffe, observe a red panda, sit with the ring-tailed lemurs or see how meerkats interact with humans.

Tours and talks

Tours

Gain a deeper understanding of the history of Gondwana Park Zoo, the current exhibits and our plans for the futures by joining our daily tours. Priced at $5 per person, each tour goes for 45 minutes and includes bottled water.

Talks

Learn new facts about your favourite animals or hear about the daily routines of our keepers. We offer four free talks a day with limited availability so recommend you arrive 10 minutes before the talk commences.

Gondwana Park Zoo school holiday workshops

Gondwana Park Zoo runs a number of one or two-day workshops each school holidays, where kids can learn about the running of the zoo, caring for animals and the daily tasks of a zoo keeper.

Workshops run from 10am – 3.30pm with morning tea and lunch provided, cost is $65 per child for a single day or $120 for two days.

Children must be aged between six and twelve years old.

1. One-day workshop:
   • animal food preparation
   • animal health and hygiene
   • grounds care
   • zoo keeper daily tasks
2. Two-day workshop:
   • animal food preparation
   • animal health and hygiene
   • grounds care
   • zoo keeper daily tasks
   • conservation and breeding
   • animals caring for their young
   • native Australian animals

Gondwana Park Zoo Gala Dinner

At the beginning of spring each year, Gondwana Park Zoo holds a gala dinner for its members, patrons, corporate partners and other distinguished guests involved with the zoo. Tickets are $450 per person and include a three-course dinner with wine matching. There will be an auction of supporter products and experiences on the night, with all proceeds going to the Gondwana Park Zoo Conservation Society. Prizes include a weekend away at Noosa, flying Jetstar and staying at the Sheraton Noosa Resort; an Ella Bache pamper package; a yearly subscription to The Wine Society; an annual family pass entitling free entry to the zoo for a year, a family pass to Dreamworld, Seaworld and Movie World on the Gold Coast and dinner for two at the spectacular Quay restaurant in Sydney.

Gondwana Park Zoo Conservation Society, established 1992, believes ‘fauna is our future’ and supports this cause by providing aid to environmentally ravaged areas where wildlife is under threat. The society also supports a number of breeding programs in conjunction with other zoos and wildlife parks.
