The Amazing Amazon zone is divided into four sections: Flooded Forest, Forest Floor, Forest Canopy and Forest Clearing. Be sure to check out the:

- Flamingos
- Egyptian geese
- African lovebirds

Disused area
Part of the zoo is currently disused. Two years ago the last maned wolf in the zoo’s collection passed on and has not been replaced. This part of the zoo is now vacant and not accessible to the public. There are future plans to rebuild this area as two new zones featuring the native fauna and landscape of Antarctica and New Zealand.
